TUPPER LAKE TRIAD CHALLENGE HIKE - CONEY, GOODMAN & ARAB PEAKS: Upon Request

If you are staying in the Tupper Lake area, we invite you to try the Tupper Lake Triad, another Adirondack hiking challenge in the Tupper Lake Region. The three family-friendly mountains boast outstanding views of the surrounding mountains and lakes from their summits. We'll hike the three peaks with you -- Coney, Goodman & Arab then celebrate with a stop at Raquette River Brewery & Arthur's BBQ. Hikers who use our guide service are able to register on the official Triad Roster after completing the challenge and will receive a Triad patch & decal to go home with -- and bragging rights, of course. Trip distance will be 10 to 12 miles depending on the amount of exploring we do and the weather conditions for the day. Round Lake Early Fall Foliage Paddle Trip: Sept 23, 2017

Round Lake is part of the WILLIAM C. WHITNEY WILDERNESS. The round-trip distance will be 7-10 miles depending on the wind/weather conditions for the day. Our first 1.5 miles will be down the marshy outlet that flows from Little Tupper to Round Lakes. Various waterfowl are often spotted here. Eagles, herons and loons inhabit this area also. This is planned as an exploratory paddle trip with opportunities to view marsh and bog vegetation as well as other wildlife encountered throughout the day. There are remnants from the log driving that was done in the early-mid 1900's down the Round Lake Outlet to the Bog River that we plan to check out. There may also be an opportunity to swim at one of the sandy beaches on Round Lake. There are no portages on this trip other than getting the boat to the water. Minimum of 3 people necessary to confirm this trip at this price. Limited to 6 people. Cost: $100/person. Click here to reserve a space for this trip.

St. Regis Seven Carries Pond Hop Trip: Oct 9, 2017

This point to point pond hopping trip will be 8 to 10 miles depending on the amount of exploring we do and the weather conditions for the day. Included in this trip is shuttle service from our meeting point to the put-in at Upper St. Regis Lake. The route passes through Bog, Bear, Little Long, Green, St. Regis and Little Clear Ponds. St. Regis Pond is one of the most beautiful ponds in the Adirondacks and has splendid views of St. Regis Mt. Little Clear Pond is an attractively wild pond which is home to the brood stock for the Land-locked Salmon program. We will portage six times on this trip with the portages being 150 ft., 150 ft., 0.25 mil., 0.25 mi., 100 ft., and 0.6 mile. Minimum of 3 people necessary to confirm this trip at this price. MULTISPORT DAY TRIPS:

Bog River Fall Foliage Paddle & Hike: Sept 30, 2017

The Bog River is a very popular area with limited parking at the canoe access. This trip offers much variety in a relatively short distance. The paddle takes us from Lows Lower Dam up the Bog River to Bog River Flow. There is one short portage around Lows Upper Dam. The optional hike to the overlook on Low's Ridge is easy-moderate 2.2 mile round-trip on a nice woods trail to an open ridgeline offering exceptional views of the Bog River area and surrounding peaks. Many of the Adirondack High Peaks are visible on a clear day. The river flows along wooded banks, low marshy shores, cliffs, a floating bog and eskers. Wildlife in the area includes loons, eagles, herons, beaver and a variety of bog flora. The round-trip distance for this trip will be 6 to 8 miles depending on the weather plus 2 miles optional hiking. Minimum of 3 people necessary to confirm this trip at this price. Limited to 6 people. Cost: $100/person. Click here to reserve a space for this trip.
