Adirondack Connections has done a fair amount of hiking throughout the northeastern US. We are adventurers at heart and love to explore new areas. There are so many wonderful places to visit and experiences to be had. We are continually exploring and expanding the territory in which we are able to offer guided adventures. Occasionally, we offer scheduled trips to destinations outside of the Adirondacks. Since we also have a spirit of spontaneity, we tend to pull things together last minute when the time is right and conditions look good. These are the opportunities we post on our Face book page. Here are some other destinations where we hike and guide trips upon request.
Acadia National Park, Maine
Acadia National Park is a stunning national treasure on the coast of Maine. It is located on Mt. Desert Island (MDI) and offers sweeping mountain views, rugged ocean scenery, crashing waves, quiet woods, beautiful sunrises, peaceful sunsets, quaint harbor villages, 120+ miles of hiking trails, 45 miles of rustic carriage roads and fascinating flora and fauna. This is one of our favorite places to pass the time, more so after the summer crowds have left. Acadia is considered one of America's favorite national parks. It's certainly one of ours!! We have a couple of guides who spend 3-4 weeks hiking, biking and paddling throughout the park each year in later August and early September. Adirondack Connections has lead many weeks of guided experiences and planned many trips in Acadia NP. We know the park well... it's our second home. We would be happy to help you get the most out of your visit. Not only do we know our way around the park, we also know the best times to be places and the best ways to get around. So if you are planning a stay on MDI during the time we are there, we would be happy to plan and lead day hikes or more for you. Contact us for more information.
