Winter Season - Snowshoeing
Snowshoeing in the Adirondacks
The wilderness surrounding the Tupper Lake area is very peaceful during the winter season. The various elevation changes result in an abundant supply of peaks, valleys, lakes, ponds and rivers. Snow and colder temperatures bring opportunities for skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, ice fishing, skating, winter camping and more. The clear dark skies of winter nights create the perfect opportunity for stargazing. And we have our share of breathtaking Adirondack vistas!
There are plenty of snowshoe trails in our area and the Tupper Lake X-C Ski Center is out our front door. Big Tupper Ski area is 2 miles up the road. We provide MSR snowshoes for our snowshoe excursions along with day packs and poles as necessary. We have a variety of Snowshoe Trips & Winter Packages available upon request. We also rent our snowshoe when they are not out on a trip with us.
The scenic and remote Bog River with it's many cascades and waterfalls is one of our favorite places for winter play. It is nearby two of the Tupper Triad peaks (Coney & Goodman Mts.) and all trailheads are less than 6 miles from our home-base.
We have partnered with the Red Top Inn for winter lodging packages. The motel is a couple of minutes drive from our home-base. B & B and meals packages may be available upon request. Let us know how we can assist you.
Please contact us regarding availability, more information, and reservations. Thank you!
