Below are some of our upcoming adventure trips. To reserve a space for a trip, please complete and submit a reservation form. DAY HIKES:

** We recommend that hikers come prepared for our rugged Adirondack trails so we have provided a list of clothing and gear that you should bring with you. CLICK HERE FOR the HIKING CLOTHING & GEAR LIST. We can provide day packs and trekking poles if necessary. NOTE: Trail lunches can be provided with advance notice if desired. We generally meet at the trailhead by 9:30 AM.


ST. REGIS MT. HIKE: Oct 5, 2017

This hike is an enjoyable trek through a mostly open forest. St. Regis Mt. (elev. 2865') is one of the Saranac Lake 6er peaks and has an open-rock summit offering views in all directions of many of the high peaks, lakes and ponds in the area. A fire tower still stands on this summit. The climb is rated as moderate, except for the final ascent to the summit. This is a 6.8 mile round-trip. Minimum of 3 people necessary to confirm this trip at this price. Limited to 8 people. Cost: $100/person. Click here to reserve a space for this trip.


TUPPER LAKE TRIAD CHALLENGE HIKE - CONEY, GOODMAN & ARAB PEAKS: Upon Request

If you are staying in the Tupper Lake area, we invite you to try the Tupper Lake Triad, another Adirondack hiking challenge in the Tupper Lake Region. The three family-friendly mountains boast outstanding views of the surrounding mountains and lakes from their summits. We'll hike the three peaks with you -- Coney, Goodman & Arab then celebrate with a stop at Raquette River Brewery & Arthur's BBQ. Hikers who use our guide service are able to register on the official Triad Roster after completing the challenge and will receive a Triad patch & decal to go home with -- and bragging rights, of course. Terrain for the challenge is rated moderate with a total distance of 7.6 miles for all three peaks. Minimum of 3 people necessary to confirm this trip at this price. DAY PADDLE CANOE TRIPS:

** We provide Hornbeck Boats for our paddle trips. Not familiar with Hornbeck canoes? Visit Hornbeck Boats online. They are the lightest boats available, are paddled like a kayak and weigh 12-18 lbs. Real easy to paddle too! We recommend that paddlers come prepared to have the most enjoyable day possible on the water so we have provided a list of clothing and gear that you should bring with you. CLICK HERE FOR the DAY PADDLE CLOTHING & GEAR LIST. We generally meet at the determined meeting point for trips 9:30-9:45 AM. Trip lunches can be provided with advance notice if desired.


Long, Slang & Turtle Ponds Paddle: Upon Request

These bodies of water are part of the ST. REGIS CANOE WILDERNESS. This is an out & back pond hopping trip offering an opportunity to paddle on 5 different glacial ponds connected by 2 carries. Trip distance will be 10 to 12 miles depending on the amount of exploring we do and the weather conditions for the day. We will portage 3 times on this trip with the portages being 0.33 mi. from the parking area to Long Pond and 0.2 mi. between Long & Slang Ponds. Minimum of 3 people necessary to confirm this trip at this price. Limited to 6 people. Cost: $100/person. Click here to reserve a space for this trip.


St. Regis Seven Carries Pond Hop Trip: Oct 9, 2017

These bodies of water are part of the ST. REGIS CANOE WILDERNESS. This point to point pond hopping trip will be 8 to 10 miles depending on the amount of exploring we do and the weather conditions for the day. Included in this trip is shuttle service from our meeting point to the put-in at Upper St. Regis Lake. The route passes through Bog, Bear, Little Long, Green, St. Regis and Little Clear Ponds. St. Regis Pond is one of the most beautiful ponds in the Adirondacks and has splendid views of St. Regis Mt. Little Clear Pond is an attractively wild pond which is home to the brood stock for the Land-locked Salmon program. We will portage six times on this trip with the portages being 150 ft., 150 ft., 0.25 mil., 0.25 mi., 100 ft., and 0.6 mile. Minimum of 3 people necessary to confirm this trip at this price. Round Lake Paddle Trip: Sept 23, 2017

Round Lake is part of the WILLIAM C. WHITNEY WILDERNESS. The round-trip distance will be 7-10 miles depending on the wind/weather conditions for the day. Our first 1.5 miles will be down the marshy outlet that flows from Little Tupper to Round Lakes. Various waterfowl are often spotted here. Eagles, herons and loons inhabit this area also. This is planned as an exploratory paddle trip with opportunities to view marsh and bog vegetation as well as other wildlife encountered throughout the day. There are remnants from the log driving that was done in the early-mid 1900's down the Round Lake Outlet to the Bog River that we plan to check out. There may also be an opportunity to swim at one of the sandy beaches on Round Lake. There are no portages on this trip other than getting the boat to the water. MULTISPORT DAY TRIPS:

Bog River Paddle & Hike: Sept 30, 2017

The Bog River is a very popular area with limited parking at the canoe access. This trip offers much variety in a relatively short distance. The paddle takes us from Lows Lower Dam up the Bog River to Bog River Flow. There is one short portage around Lows Upper Dam. The optional hike to the overlook on Low's Ridge is easy-moderate 2.2 mile round-trip on a nice woods trail to an open ridgeline offering exceptional views of the Bog River area and surrounding peaks. Many of the Adirondack High Peaks are visible on a clear day. The river flows along wooded banks, low marshy shores, cliffs, a floating bog and eskers. Wildlife in the area includes loons, eagles, herons, beaver and a variety of bog flora. The round-trip distance for this trip will be 6 to 8 miles depending on the weather plus 2 miles optional hiking. Minimum of 3 people necessary to confirm this trip at this price. CANOE CAMPING TRIPS:

** RESERVATIONS appreciated 10+ days PRIOR for CANOE CAMPING trips...
Hornbeck Boats, paddling gear, lightweight backpacks, personal cook systems, camping gear (excluding sleeping bag) and meals are included for camping trips packages below. We tend to meet at our home base location near Tupper Lake at 8 AM on Day 1. We encourage folks to arrive the afternoon prior to the trip to pack so we can get an earlier start in the morning. Ask about a bed & breakfast package to those who make overnight accommodations through us for the night prior to and/or the night we return from the trip.


Long Pond & Long Pond Mt. Overnight Paddle & Hike Camping Trip
To Be Determined for 2018 (1-night)

This overnight experience offers options for paddling, hiking, swimming and relaxing in the St. Regis Wilderness area. The area offers a day of pond hopping allowing visits to up to 6 glacial ponds with camping and options for hiking and swimming. Camping is on Long Pond, a scenic and peaceful location that is inhabited by loons who tend to be quite active throughout the day. It is a beautiful pond for camping and has some nice sandy areas for swimming. There is a 0.33 mile portage from the parking area to the pond's shore. There is the option for a 3.2 mile RT hike to a summit ridge on Long Pond Mt. with open views on both ends. This summit sits about 930' above the lakes level with a 700' uphill climb over a 0.9 mile distance. Views include the many ponds in the St. Regis Wilderness, Saranac Lakes and the High Peaks on a clear day. Minimum of 2 people necessary to confirm this trip. Limited to 4 people per trip. Lake Lila Canoe Camping Trip
To Be Determined for 2018 (1-night)

Paddle, hike, swim, relax... that's the agenda for this overnight trip. Lake Lila is one of the premier paddling destinations and claimed by some to be one of the most beautiful lake in the Adirondack Park. There is a 0.3 mile portage from the parking area to the lake's shore. Lake Lila offers beautiful sandy beaches and 4 islands. There is the option for a 3.8 mile RT hike to an open rocky outlook on Frederica Mt. (approx. 500' above the lakes level). This outlook offers an unequalled view of Lake Lila and the surrounding wilderness area. It takes approx. 2 hrs. to complete this hike and is a nice spot to enjoy lunch. Optional paddles possibilities are exploration of Shingle Shanty Brook, and a short section on the Beaver River. Lake Lila is another of the premier paddling destinations in the Adirondacks. St. Regis Wilderness Camping Trip
To Be Determined for 2018

These trips provide opportunities to visit a few glacial ponds in the St. Regis Wilderness area. For the 2 and 3 night trips, we have two different routes planned, each as an end-to-end journey. The 2-night trip end-to-end option will be along the classic "Seven Carries" route. The 3-night end-to-end trip will start at Little Clear Pond and follow the "Nine Carries" route through the remote Fish Pond area ending at Long Pond. Each of the ponds in the St. Regis Wilderness has a different character and most are inhabited by loons. All routes are scenic and we'll travel at a leisurely pace enjoying all there is to see and experience along the way. A 2-night in & out trip is planned to St. Regis Pond. The put-in will be at Little Clear Pond with camping on St. Regis Pond two nights. Optional paddles from St. Regis Pond include pond hopping to Green, Little Long, Bear & Bog Ponds. There are also optional hiking options to Ochre and Fish Ponds. There are two options for our 1-night trips. One location is Long Pond with paddles planned to Slang, Turtle & Pink Ponds. Optional hikes from Long Pond include Mountain Pond and and Long Pond Mt. The other location is to St. Regis Pond with exploration of Little Clear, Green, Little Long and Bear Ponds. We will be pond hopping on all of these trips. Expect a few short carries along our route for the 1 & 2-night trips. The carries on the 3 & 4-night trips are longer as the ponds are more remote. BACKPACK TRIPS:

Lightweight backpacks, personal cook systems, camping gear (excluding sleeping bag) and meals are provided. Guests are welcomed to bring their own gear & meals if they prefer. We encourage folks to arrive the afternoon prior to the trip to pack so we can get an earlier start in the morning and are able to offer a bed & breakfast package to those who make overnight accommodations through us for the night prior and/or the evening we come off the trail.


Pharaoh Lake Wilderness Backpack & Hike Trip (3-nights):
Sept 26-28, 2017
Oct 6-8, 2017 - WOMEN'S TRIP

This 3-day trip is quite scenic with optional opportunities to explore an area that once supported sawmills, graphite mines and tanneries after the Revolutionary War. Glaciers carved out this area leaving sharp cliff faces and valleys filled with beautiful glacial ponds, marshes and sandy soils. Forest fires have also left their effect on the area. The terrain for this trip will be easy to moderate with optional side trips as time and weather allows. One option includes an easy to moderate 5-mile RT hike to the summit of Treadway Mt., considered the most entrancing of any peak in the Pharaoh Lake Wilderness by guide book writer, Barbara McMartin. This is a beautiful area to spend a few days (one of those that you wish others didn't know about). The pace will be leisurely allowing time to enjoy whatever we find along the way. The backpack distances vary between 4-7 miles daily. This trip is intended for hikers capable of carrying approx. a 30 lbs. pack weight. We plan to meet at our home base location near Tupper Lake at 7 AM on Day 1. We expect to depart for the 1:30 drive to the Pharaoh Lake trailhead as soon after packing as possible. Space is limited to 4 people per trip. Minimum of 2 people necessary to confirm this trip so bring a friend! Please make reservations well in advance. Thank you. Cost: $420/person. Northville-Placid Trail (NPT) Backpack Trip (3-nights):
Oct 10-13, 2017

Long Lake --> Lake Placid: This end to end backpack trip is planned for the section of trail beginning off Tarbell Rd. in Long Lake finishing at the Averyville Rd. trailhead in Lake Placid. Transportation will be provided to & from our home base in Tupper Lake. The trip length is approx. 36 miles through a remote, rugged and scenic wilderness area. We plan to travel an average of 8-9 miles daily enjoying whatever we find of interest along the way. One day may be 12 miles, depending on campsite availability along the Cold River. This trip is intended for stronger hikers and backpackers capable of carrying 30-35 lbs. for many miles. We plan to meet at our home base location near Tupper Lake at 7 AM on Day 1. We expect to depart for the 25 minute drive to the Long Lake trailhead as soon after packing as possible. This trip is limited to 4 people.
